Class: Just your average klutzy author

Persona: Her personality traits contradict so much, it's not even funny. Marie is your 'average' high school student. At least, she wishes she was. For one thing, she's too much of a smart mouth for her own good, which often lands her in the hot seat. She tends to talk her way out of (most) situations. She can be a pushover sometimes, but once you push enough buttons, she's scary. She's intelligent, often debating with others, whether they like it or not, and has a fierce competitive side. She hates, hates, HATES to lose, especially to boys. Marie often keeps it in check, but every so often, a little jealous streak can go through her.

However, she's not all bad. Marie has a softer side, although she often shoves it to the back of herself. As result of being burned over the years, she hesitates, almost refuses to put her trust in anyone. She's friendly, but has walls that block off her inner thoughts and feelings to the outside world. No one but Marie is allowed in that little 'back room' of her heart, and she often confines herself to her house and room. She loves to spend time by herself, reading and writing poetry and stories, which never again see the light of day when finished. She spends perhaps a little too much time on the computer, but hey, it's easier than dealing with her peers. She's often considered 'weird' or 'a loser' by her peers for her out-of-place interests and odd quirks, such as her tendency to combine the real world, and the ficticious ones.

Marie's nurturing side shines through at times, and she's good for offering sound advice. And though she does slip up, she tries to be a good example. She is a Christian. Marie is very kind deep down, but has yet to find that definitive line between being 'nice', and being 'a doormat'. She's scared of relationships, and is pretty sure no one would want her anyway.

And on top of all of this, she is absolutely insane.

One more thing: Marie is terribly afraid of drowning, and, ironically, abandonement.

History: One day, when walking home from school, Marie spotted an old, seemingly abandoned building. Her sense of adventure kicking in, she decided to explore, and her world got turned upside down from there...
